A delegation from the Emirate of Ras Al Khaimah (RAK) in the United Arab Emirates visited Fujian province from June 10 to 12, taking part in a series of business promotion and networking events organized by the Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce, the Foreign Affairs Office of Fujian, the Fujian branch of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (ICBC), and ICBC's Dubai branch.
The Ras Al Khaimah-Fujian Business Promotion Conference on June 11 brought together government officials, financial institutions, and businesses from both sides, with 150 Fujian companies attending, including firms in the construction, foreign trade, port operations, and consumer goods sectors.
Organizers arranged meetings between the delegation and several Fujian companies and institutions, including CATL, STAR-NET, and Minhai Group, in response to requests from visiting organizations such as the Government of Ras Al Khaimah, the Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone, RAK Ports, RAK Properties, and the Aham Group of Companies.
Officials from the Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce met with Alma Au Yeung, advisor for Greater China affairs at the Office of the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, to discuss potential cooperation in areas such as green construction, smart home technologies, energy technologies, and tourism.
According to the Foreign Affairs Office of Fujian, both sides are continuing discussions on establishing a sister-city relationship.
