Fujian province released the first batch of landmark achievements in its efforts to build a demonstration zone for integrated development across the Taiwan Strait on March 26.
By December 2025, Fujian had issued 74 policies and measures in five batches to promote Fujian-Taiwan integration, and implemented 206 key projects with a total investment of over 1.3 trillion yuan ($187.8 billion), forming a preliminary policy support system.
The newly released achievements include 17 items spanning policies, projects, and platforms.
To enhance the lives of Taiwan compatriots and digital services, Fujian launched the "Digital First Home" service platform for Taiwan compatriots and enterprises. By December 2025, the platform had gathered more than 3,200 pieces of cross-Strait information and over 260 Taiwan-related policies, recording more than 2.65 million visits and processing 15,000 government services.
Fujian also made steady progress in regional integration and infrastructure development. The Xiamen-Kinmen and Fuzhou-Matsu "same-city living circles" advanced steadily. In 2025, the Xiamen-Kinmen Mini Three Links passenger route handled 1.74 million trips, up 38.84 percent year-on-year, while the Fuzhou-Matsu route served over 98,800 trips, a 51.2 percent increase. Fujian's water supply project to Kinmen, operational for over seven years, has delivered more than 46 million metric tons.
In industrial cooperation and professional qualification recognition, Fujian's Taiwan farmer pioneer parks grew to 14, now covering all nine cities and one district in the province and attracting 1,176 Taiwan-invested agricultural projects. The Fujian Province (Pingtan) Taiwan Compatriots Professional Qualification Integrated Service Center has recognized 189 Taiwan professional qualifications.
Innovations in sports exchanges also gained traction. The Fujian Sake Baseball Team became the first cross-Strait joint team to compete in a national sports event, securing fifth place at the 15th National Games. By the end of 2025, Fujian had set up 200 "Fujian-Taiwan baseball and softball linkage schools", involving more than 380,000 primary and secondary school students.
