Fujian Marine Economy Industry Cooperation and Innovative Development Conference sees signing of 172 projects

The Fujian Marine Economy Industry Cooperation and Innovative Development Conference was held in Fuzhou on Oct 16 as a key event of the 2025 World Maritime Equipment Conference.

At the event, Fujian facilitated the matching and signing of 172 projects over 200 billion yuan ($28.08 billion), including 50 projects signed in a centralized session, with a total investment of 99.15 billion yuan.

Notable projects, including Fuzhou's offshore ecological aquaculture platform, highlight emerging marine industries, feature strong corporate participants, and demonstrate promising investment prospects.

Wang Yongli, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Fujian Provincial Committee, executive vice-governor of Fujian province, chaired the conference and provided an overview of Fujian's marine economic development.

This year's conference serves as an important platform for showcasing the achievements of the 2025 World Maritime Equipment Conference which promotes effective industry cooperation and advances the implementation of leading projects in the region.

During the 2025 World Maritime Equipment Conference, several related events are also planned, including the Third China Marine Equipment Expo, the 2025 IMO-China Global Sustainable Maritime Innovation Workshop 2025, the 2025 Fuzhou International Sailing Regatta.
