European Diplomats Visit Fujian

A delegation of 25 mid- to senior-level diplomats from European countries, including Germany, the Netherlands, and Switzerland, as well as the European Union, participated in a workshop tour of Fujian Province from August 7 to 13.

 

Organized by the Fujian Provincial Foreign Affairs Office and the Department of European Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the visit aimed to showcase Fujian’s progress in China’s modernization drive. The diplomats visited Fuzhou, Quanzhou, and Xiamen.

 

On August 7, Vice Governor Wang Jinfu met with the diplomats in Fuzhou. The workshop concluded with a ceremony in Xiamen on August 12, where Vice Mayor Zhuang Rongliang presented certificates of completion.

 

 

 

The diplomats explored Fujian’s advancements in ecological conservation, innovation-driven development, and cultural heritage preservation. Their itinerary featured visits to a circular economy industrial park, a wetland park, leading auto and sports companies, and museums highlighting the province’s rich traditions and history of international engagement.
