Uzbek Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev Attends CIFIT 2025

Uzbekistan’s Deputy Prime Minister Jamshid Khodjaev led a delegation to Xiamen from September 7 to 8 for the 25th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT), at the invitation of the event’s organizing committee.

On September 8, Secretary Zhou Zuyi met with Deputy Prime Minister Khodjaev. Highlighting President Xi Jinping’s congratulatory message to the fair, Zhou stressed CIFIT’s role in promoting an open world economy and Fujian’s unique advantages, including its position as the core area of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, its Special Economic Zone, and its Pilot Free Trade Zone. He hoped that this visit would translate the important consensus reached between President Xi Jinping and President Mirziyoyev into tangible outcomes, fostering stronger partnership between Fujian and Uzbekistan in economy, trade, culture, tourism, people-to-people exchanges, and sister-city ties.

Khodjaev applauded CIFIT’s successful opening and commended Fujian’s dynamic growth, beautiful environment, and favorable business climate. He expressed commitment to expanding two-way trade and investment with Fujian and strengthening cooperation in such areas as new energy, chemicals, textiles, electronics, tourism, education and industrial park development. The Deputy Prime Minister also pledged support for Fujian enterprises investing in Uzbekistan.

While in Xiamen, the Uzbek delegation attended the CIFIT opening ceremony, the inauguration of the Uzbekistan pavilion, and the Future Investment Conference, and hosted the Uzbekistan Investment Promotion Event.
