From November 19 to 20, a five-member delegation led by Dr Patricia Flor, Ambassador of Germany to China, visited Fuzhou and Xiamen.
On November 19, Governor Zhao Long met with the delegation in Fuzhou. He said, Fujian is a province with strong real economy, robust manufacturing foundation and highly open economy, and Germany has a complete and powerful industrial system. There is a great cooperation potential to be tapped. He hoped the two sides will work together to implement the important consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, further expand mutually beneficial cooperation, foster closer economic and trade ties, and promote sister city and people-to-people exchanges. He welcomed more German companies to establish or expand their presence in Fujian. China’s door will open still wider, and Fujian will continue to build a premier business environment that is market-oriented, law-based and consistent with international standards, and help all types of enterprises to grow stronger in Fujian.
Ambassador Flor said, Germany and Fujian Province enjoy time-honoured friendly exchanges and a solid foundation for cooperation. Germany is committed to deepening practical cooperation with Fujian in green energy, electric vehicle, and digital transformation, and will encourage more enterprises and tourists to visit Fujian.
During her stay in Fujian, Ambassador Flor visited Xiamen University, Fuzhou Association of Taiwan Investment Enterprises, Ceepower, and Hella (Xiamen) Electronic Device.
