Japan's METI Delegation Visits Fujian

From September 7 to 11, Arai Masayoshi, Director-General of the Trade Policy Bureau of the Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI) of Japan, participated in the 24th China International Fair for Investment and Trade (CIFIT) in Xiamen and visited Ningde and Fuzhou.

 

On September 8, Vice Governor Wang Jinfu met with Arai Masayoshi in Xiamen. Noting the longstanding relationship and increasingly close economic ties between Fujian and Japan, Wang urged both sides to expand industrial cooperation and trade, as well as strengthen communication to elevate exchanges and cooperation in various areas to new heights. Arai Masayoshi, who was on a return visit after Fujian’s leading officials’ visit to Japan in July, commended Fujian’s economic and social progress and expressed the wish to learn more about Fujian and work for more fruitful cooperation between Fujian and Japan through CIFIT. Kijima Yoshiko, Consul General of Japan in Guangzhou, also attended the meeting.

 

During their stay in Ningde and Fuzhou, the delegation visited Contemporary Amperex Technology Co., Limited (CATL) and Fuyao Glass.
