Ms Grace Fu, Singapore’s Minister for Sustainability and the Environment and Minister-in-charge of Trade Relations, led a delegation to Fujian from May 28 to 31.
On May 29, Secretary Zhou Zuyi met with Minister Fu in Fuzhou. Highlighting the new China-Singapore relationship of an all-round high-quality future-oriented partnership and the longstanding friendship and business ties between Fujian and Singapore, Zhou expressed optimism about the prospects of Fujian-Singapore cooperation on environmental protection, marine economy, education, and people-to-people exchanges. He called for joint efforts to implement the consensus reached by the leaders of the two countries, and conveyed Fujian’s readiness to work with Singapore in promoting high-quality Belt and Road cooperation, advancing green and low-carbon development, deepening industrial cooperation, and expanding trade and investment.
During her stay in Fujian, Minister Fu also had meetings with Secretary Cui Yonghui of Xiamen, Secretary Guo Ningning of Fuzhou and Secretary Liang Weixin of Ningde. Additionally, she visited CATL, Tan Kah Kee Innovation Laboratory, and Hairun Container Terminal, and held talks with Singaporean businesses operating in Xiamen.
