Director General Li Lin of Fujian Provincial Foreign Affairs Office met with Malaysia's Consul General in Guangzhou, Suraya Binti Ahmad Pauzi, in Fuzhou on April 28.
Li emphasized the importance of strengthening exchanges and cooperation between Fujian and Malaysia in such areas as economy, trade, culture, education, tourism, and sister cities. He expressed that Fujian is ready to take the opportunities of the 10th anniversary of the establishment of the China-Malaysia comprehensive strategic partnership to expand two-way investment and trade, cultural exchanges and sister city cooperation, and take Fujian-Malaysia relations to new heights.
Consul General Suraya Binti Ahmad Pauzi noted the great complementarity and broad potential for cooperation in various fields between Fujian and Malaysia. She stressed consulate general’s commitment to deepening Belt and Road cooperation and people-to-people exchanges with Fujian to achieve common development.
