Fujian steps up investment drive ahead of CIFIT

Fujian province is stepping up efforts to attract investment at this year's China International Fair for Investment & Trade (CIFIT), with 36 major events and 828 investment projects planned to connect companies and investors from China and abroad.

The provincial delegation has lined up 21 established events, including the Silk Road Maritime International Cooperation Forum, alongside 15 new investment promotion events, such as the China-Indonesia "Two Countries, Twin Parks" project promotion. The program will also include six sessions focused on overseas investment, reflecting Fujian companies' growing demand to expand abroad.

Fujian's total exhibition space will expand from 3,000 to 3,700 square meters this year, with the Fujian pavilion featuring immersive and interactive displays that highlight the province as an attractive investment destination. It will showcase the development of the province's industrial clusters and its progress in opening up, with 48 physical exhibits from 38 companies in emerging fields such as AI applications and brain-computer interfaces.

Ahead of the fair, more than 130 financing projects in sectors including smart manufacturing, information technology, and modern transport and logistics have been matched with financial institutions. Fifteen industrial tour routes covering biomedicine, new energy, and AI will be launched for the first time.

Fujian has also been facilitating preliminary matchmaking between companies from the province and those from Finland, the guest country of honor, and Qinghai province, the guest province of honor, to identify potential areas for cooperation.
