National ICH: TCM wellness (Lingyuan Wanying Tea)

Lingyuan Wanying Tea is popular among the Chinese people in Quanzhou, Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan, and Southeast Asia. It is recognized as a national-level intangible cultural heritage representative item under the category of traditional medicine.

Originating in the first year of the Hongwu Reign of the Ming Dynasty (1368), Lingyuan Wanying Tea was formulated by a revered monk from the Lingyuan Temple in Anhai town, Jinjiang city, a county-level city in Quanzhou. Lingyuan Wanying tea is created from a blend of mountain tea, wormwood, mugwort, licorice, and other common local herbs, combined with tea leaves. Evolving from the meticulously brewed Bodhi pills, it has a history that spans over 630 years. Throughout the centuries, the secret formula has been passed down from generation to generation within the temple.

Lingyuan Wanying Tea embodies the essence of tea culture by leading with tea and incorporating 59 local herbs. Processed through semi-fermentation, it features characteristics of rapid absorption and high biological utilization.

With functions such as expelling wind, invigorating the stomach and eliminating phlegm, this tea exhibits remarkable efficacy in treating conditions like fever from colds, heatstroke, dysentery and vomiting.
