Fujian-Hong Kong hub connects tech companies with capital

Fujian province is using a new platform to bring together capital, technology, industry, and market resources to support technology companies from early-stage development through listing and fundraising.

The Fujian-Hong Kong Technology Finance Hub, jointly launched in Fujian and Hong Kong on May 15, is operated by Industrial Securities. It has organized 39 online and offline matchmaking events in its first three months of operation. More than 100 technology projects have entered its project pool, with 35 key projects receiving continued follow-up.

The Fujian-Hong Kong Technology Innovation Fund has invested 253 million yuan ($37.52 million) in six Fujian projects, while seven others are in preliminary investment talks.

Unlike traditional financial institutions that offer financing, investment, and listing services separately, the hub serves as a platform for resource matching, collaboration, and project incubation. It connects companies with financial institutions, industry partners, universities, and government agencies based on companies' needs.

The hub focuses on technology transfer and commercialization, investment promotion and project development, support for technology startups, and cross-border investment.

Industrial Securities also established the fund to invest as early as the angel stage, targeting early-stage hard-tech projects. The hub plans to use an online platform to showcase Fujian companies to global investors and explore data-driven matching between companies and investors.

In 2025, Industrial Securities helped five Fujian companies list in Hong Kong, including Impression Dahongpao, the first Fujian tourism company to list in Hong Kong.
