Xiamen-based Luckin Coffee and Happy Sweet Potato have been included in the 2026 "Global 50 Chinese Catering Brands" list, or Global 50, putting them at the forefront of Chinese brands expanding globally.

The list, released by the China Chain Store and Franchise Association, evaluates brands across sectors such as coffee, tea, hot pot, and snacks based on overseas scale, expansion speed, localization, revenue share, and supply chain support.

Luckin Coffee ranked sixth on the list. Since opening its first international location in 2023, the Xiamen-based brand has ventured into Singapore, Malaysia, and the United States. According to the report, Luckin Coffee currently operates more than 160 overseas stores. The company has utilized standardized products, digital operations, and competitive pricing to establish a presence in the global coffee market.

Happy Sweet Potato secured the 14th spot. The Xiamen company entered international markets in 2020 and currently operates 52 stores in eight countries and regions. Leveraging its established supply chain and pricing strategy, the brand has emerged as a notable example of Fujian-style tea beverages in overseas markets.

As the industry accelerates its international reach, more Xiamen-based catering brands are expected to expand their overseas footprints, with more companies adopting standardized and brand-oriented models to compete on a global scale and increase their international competitiveness.
