Xiamen is stepping up efforts to become a powerhouse in aircargo logistics as the construction of the Xiang'an International Airport rapidly advances. At the heart of this development are two key infrastructure projects: the Xiang'an International Airport Cargo Area Project and the Air Road Xiang'an Airport Cargo Project, both progressing at a rapid pace to support the aviation cargo transportation system.

These two cargo terminals are key projects for strengthening the national comprehensive cargo transportation hub and are also major components of the Xiang'an International Airport aviation cargo transportation system.

With a combined land area of 410,000 square meters, they are expected to be put into operation simultaneously with the main terminal building. The annual cargo and mail handling capacity is projected to double compared to the Xiamen Gaoqi International Airport.

According to the plan, once the Xiang'an International Airport Cargo Area Project is complete, it will integrate the airport with base airlines and inspection units to form an integrated development pattern.

Upon the completion of the Air Road Xiang'an Airport Cargo Project, it is expected to boost the annual cargo handling capacity of enterprises to 430,000 metric tons, helping Xiamen establish a logistics service network that enables delivery within four hours to regional cities, within one day to major cities in China and neighboring countries, and within two days to major cities worldwide.
