Zhou Zuyi Meets with Argentine Ambassador to China

On February 25, Secretary Zhou Zuyi met in Fuzhou with Marcelo Gabriel Suarez Salvia, Ambassador of Argentina to China, who was on his first visit to Fujian Province from February 24 to 26.

Fujian, as a key player in opening-up and the core area of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, enjoys a highly outward-looking economy, a robust private sector, and a sound momentum of development, said Zhou. Noting China-Argentina friendship and close exchanges between Fujian and Argentina, he hoped that the two sides will jointly implement the important consensus reached by the heads of state of the two countries, carry forward the traditional friendship, boost sister-city ties, and deepen practical cooperation in energy and mining, culture and tourism, and education to further enrich China-Argentina relationship.

Ambassador Salvia highlighted the deep traditional friendship between the two countries and the frequent exchanges between Argentina and Fujian, and discussed the potential for expanding win-win cooperation to promote the China-Argentina comprehensive strategic partnership.

During his stay in Fujian, Ambassador Salvia attended the opening ceremony of the Argentine Pavilion in Fuzhou and visited Zijin Mining Group in Longyan.
