Four tourist attractions in East China's Fujian province were recently designated as national 4A-level scenic spots. The attractions are Minyue River Town in Minhou county, Fuzhou; Taoyuanli Scenic Spot in Datian county, Sanming; Niulanggang Beach Resort in Fuding, Ningde; and 68 Nautical Miles Scenic Spot in the Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone.
Niulanggang Beach Resort is a major destination on Taimu Mountain, which is known as the "fairy city on the sea", a UNESCO Global Geopark and a national park of China. The resort features a flat seabed, golden beaches, and lush green mountains. Notable natural attractions include the mandarin duck rock, weaver cave, and the integration of sea and sky.
The 68 Nautical Miles Scenic Spot is located in Dong'ao village in the Pingtan Comprehensive Experimental Zone and is the closest point on the Chinese mainland to Taiwan. The spot comprises three islands: Houyan, Yanhuo, and Xianshan. These islands are known for their rugged rocks and towering boulders, creating unique landscapes.
