Delegation of Young Arab Political Leaders Visits Fujian
At the invitation of the International Department of the CPC Central Committee, a delegation of young Arab political leaders led by Abdullah Mohammed Abu Al-Ghaith, Vice Chairman of Yemen’s Shura Council, visited Fujian from November 28 to December 2.
On November 29, Vice Governor Wang Jinfu met with the delegation in Fuzhou. Wang briefed the young politicians on the province’s latest economic and social progress, highlighting Fujian’s longstanding friendship and close people-to-people and trade ties with Arab states. He hoped that the two sides will promote win-win cooperation in such areas as energy, ecological conservation, and people-to-people exchanges to pursue common development.
Abu Al-Ghaith commended Fujian’s accomplishments and expressed readiness to draw on the province’s experience in high-quality development and jointly promote practical cooperation across the board.
The five-day visit took the delegation members to the cities of Fuzhou, Zhangzhou and Xiamen, where they explored the charm of cultural heritage and traditional Chinese medicine, learned about local practices in advancing rural revitalization and cross-Strait integrated development, the progress of Sino-Saudi Gulei Ethylene Complex Project and the role of BRICS PartNIR Innovation Center in fostering partnerships in healthcare, advanced technologies and new energy.
