Zhangzhou launched its cross-border e-commerce customs supervision center on March 31, marking the city's first retail export clearance under the "9610" regulatory code. Following the processing of an initial shipment to Taiwan, Zhangzhou has established a comprehensive integrated clearance pathway covering the "9610", "9710", and "9810" customs regulatory modes.

Located in Zhangzhou Taiwan Investment Zone Bonded Logistics Center (Type B), the 2,700-square-meter hub, constructed in strict accordance with national customs standards for cross-border e-commerce, features automated inspection lines equipped with advanced CT and X-ray technology to enable high-precision screening and automated alerts for prohibited items, ensuring both security and efficiency. By integrating sorting, inspection, and clearance, the center significantly reduces logistics costs and operational timelines for local companies.

The inaugural shipment comprised 1,600 packages valued at approximately $79,000. Industry insiders noted that the addition of the "9610" mode is particularly vital for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and individual businesses engaged in direct-to-consumer retail.

The center plans to merge retail export services with existing bonded warehousing and logistics capabilities. The "cross-border e-commerce plus bonded service" framework aims to provide a compliant and high-efficiency channel for local companies to expand their presence in international markets while enhancing overall regional industrial competitiveness.
