Xiamen Airport Economic Zone explores investment opportunities in Wuhan

The sharing session of the Xiamen Airport Economic Zone on investment opportunities in new energy and new materials was held on Oct 21 at the Wuhan Conference Center, Hubei province.

The event brought together over 150 participants, including leading enterprises, research institutions, investment organizations, and experts from the new energy and advanced materials sectors across Xiamen and Wuhan, such as Sungrow, Snowman Group.

New directions for technological innovation and cross-regional collaboration aimed at serving China's dual carbon goals were discussed during the session.

Tan Hua, chairman of China Gezhouba Group, said that the group's commitment to the development of new energy and advanced materials, leveraging its strengths in energy infrastructure, technology research, and resource integration to deepen strategic cooperation with the Xiamen Airport Economic Zone.

Covering 98.6 square kilometers, the Xiamen Airport Economic Zone centers on three core platforms: Xiang'an International Airport, Xiamen Airport Comprehensive Bonded Zone, and the Lianhe Area of Xiamen Science City.

New energy and advanced materials form one of its three key industry clusters, with a clear development trajectory.

The zone has attracted leading enterprises in energy storage and materials, creating a complete industrial ecosystem covering critical segments of the value chain. It also maintains high-level research platforms focused on efficient energy storage and low-carbon energy systems.

Participants from Xiamen and Wuhan said that the event reinforced their understanding of the zone's comprehensive strengths and unique advantages, boosting confidence in future collaboration and investment.
