Spanish Ambassador Visits Fujian

Governor Wang Ning met with Spanish Ambassador Rafael Dezcallar de Mazarredo in Fuzhou on April 8.

Governor Wang highlighted the long history of interactions between Fujian and Spain and the solid foundation for cooperation between the two sides. Fujian’s pursuit of high-quality and leapfrog development in all respects will provide a broad space for further exchanges and cooperation between Fujian and Spain, he said.

Ambassador Dezcallar noted Fujian’s rapid economic and social development, and expressed Spain’s readiness to participate in the Belt and Road cooperation and strengthen its ties with Fujian. Both sides reached the consensus to step up cooperation in business, trade, science, technology, culture, education and tourism so as to take the relations to a new level.

While in Fujian, Ambassador Dezcallar also attended the opening ceremony of Fotciencia 15, a Spanish science photographs exhibition in Fuzhou and visited Gulangyu Island in Xiamen.
