Diplomatic Envoys and Journalists from Neighbouring Countries Visit Fujian

A delegation of 15 diplomatic envoys and journalists led by Mr. Abrao dos Santos, Ambassador of Timor-Leste to China, visited Fujian from 9 to 11 November.

On 9 November, Vice Governor Guo Ningning met with the delegation. She said, during President Xi’s tenure in Fujian, he articulated important philosophies on poverty alleviation and led Fujian people in the fight against poverty. The following trip will give you a deeper understanding of this history and China’s poverty eradication cause. As the core area of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, Fujian is looking forward to deepening practical cooperation with China’s neighbouring countries.

Ambassador Abrao Dos Santos thanked Fujian for its thoughtful arrangements, and said the delegation will trace the journey of Fujian’s development and draw on its successful experience.

During the stay in Fujian, the delegation visited Digital Fujian Cloud Computing Centre, Fuzhou Municipal Public Service Centre, Three Lanes and Seven Alleys, Chixi Village, Changsha Village, Contemporary Amperex Technology (CATL), Qingtuo Group, and Poverty Eradication Theme Exhibition Hall in Ningde.
