Fujian and Italy strengthen economic cooperation through online promotion conference

An online conference promoting trade and economic cooperation between Fujian and Italy took place on July 14. Over 3000 people from the business communities in seven cities, including Fuzhou, Quanzhou, Milan and Ancona, participated in the event via video link.
In their remarks, representatives of Italian Consulate General in Guangzhou, Italy-China Federation of Industry and Commerce, Fujian Provincial Department of Commerce highlighted the importance of strengthening economic cooperation amid COVID-19 pandemic. Huang Shaorong, Deputy Director General of Fujian Provincial Foreign Affairs Office, interacted with the heads of Sardinia’s tourism and commerce department and federation of industry and commerce as well as the mayor of Cagliari.
During a cloud signing ceremony, representative from both sides signed agreements on football exchange and anti-epidemic supplies procurement. Briefings on Quanzhou’s investment opportunities and Italian market exploration aroused wide interest among the business communities from both sides, who saw the online promotion event as an excellent opportuity to deepen mutual understanding and cooperation.
